Attention: We recommend not placing the teapot directly on the heat! To prepare tea, place the leaves on the filter included with the teapot and pour boiling water over them. Applying direct heat to the teapot can negatively affect the tea brewing process and may damage the finish of the Japanese teapot. The cast iron Japanese teapot should be cleaned by rinsing it with water; washing it with soap and sponges/cloths is not recommended.
