HISTORICAL ORIGIN OF THE GHASSOUL
In Morocco there is a clay called "saponiferous" used for centuries and probably since the Middle Ages (XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries) by all the populations of North Africa and even in certain regions of the Middle East. This clay is called Ghassoul and this term finds its origin in the verb "Rassala" which means to wash in Arabic. This clay is mined in underground mine galleries.
